Middle Years Program
The IB Middle Years Programme is designed for students aged 11 - 16 years.
The MYP aims to develop active learners and internationally minded young people who can empathize with others and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.
The programme empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally. The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
The IB Middle Years Programme @ Harvest offers subjects from 8 subject groups.
MYP 1 to MYP 3 (Grade 6 to Grade 8)

Apart from these, the students also engage in Service As Action activities and one interdisciplinary understanding unit in every year of the MYP.

Projects
Personal Project - A culminating experience for students in MYP 5, that serves as an application of students’ learning and skill development in the Middle Years Programme.
Community Project - A project focused towards community and service that aims to encourage students towards their rights and responsibilities towards their community.
Service and e-assessment
Service as Action leads towards a set of developmentally appropriate outcomes and involves activities beyond doing for others to engaging with others to show a commitment towards a better community and a better world.
eAssessment - A combination of on-screen assessment and coursework for students of MYP 5, which is an external verification of students’ achievement.

Learning Spaces:
In the MYP Design course, students engage in practical problem-solving activities and apply design thinking principles to develop solutions, both digital and product based, to real-world challenges. At our Design Lab, the students work on design projects, experiment with various materials and tools, and collaborate to create prototypes and solutions. They learn and make products using carpentry tools, 3D printers, laser cutters, robotics etc. They also learn coding, website designing, app creation and much more.
Students’ creative and critical thinking skills are developed through many such activities that help them become problem solvers

In grade 10 of the program, MYP eAssessment provides IB validated grades based on examination and coursework ( ePortfolios)
Personal project
The personal project in Grade 10 provides an excellent opportunity for students to produce a creative and truly personal product / outcome to demonstrate consolidation of their learning in the MYP.
